On August 22nd, SAIC-GM-Wuling's 8 millionth MPV and the Starlight 730 global model rolled off the assembly line at the SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun production base. SAIC Group Party Secretary and Chairman Wang Xiaoqiu, President Jia Jianxu, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President Zhou Langhui, SAIC-GM-Wuling General Manager Lü Juncheng, and Party Secretary and Vice General Manager Yao Zuoping jointly unveiled the new vehicles.

In its first month on the market, the Binguo S achieved an impressive sales record of 24,000 units, confirming the strong market demand for high‑quality A0‑class pure electric vehicles. At the same time, the model has earned industry recognition thanks to the robust safety performance of its “Shenlian Battery”. In November, at the 3rd New Energy Vehicle Electrical Safety Conference 2025, the Binguo S received two dual honors from CATARC: the “BSTA Full‑Scenario Verification for Power Battery Summer Wading Safety” and the “FSTA Vehicle EV Fire Safety Protection Star”. Earlier, the Binguo S had already secured two certificates: the CCTA Charging New National Standard Function Verification and the CCTA Charging System Safety Capability Verification.

The decision hinges on a balance of cost, technical feasibility, and environmental impact.

In August 2025, the Wuling Red Label, known as the "people's wealth-creating magic car," sold 46,387 units. Of these, 14,267 were new energy commercial vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 112%. This represents eight consecutive months of year-on-year growth exceeding 100%, pushing the Wuling Red Label's new energy vehicle sales share to a new record high of 31%, maintaining its leadership in the new energy commercial vehicle market.

The event was attended by Kapila, Managing Director of the Holding Group, Kalsha, Executive Director of the Holding Group, Niveyn, General Manager of the Automotive Business, and Wuling's right-hand drive sales representatives.

This November, another piece of good news arrived from the Indian market—Windsor (EQ100R), the best‑selling EV model in the local market, surpassed 50,000 units in cumulative sales just one year after its launch, making it the fastest electric vehicle to reach this milestone in India! Against this exciting backdrop, a delegation from SGMW—including Huang Fang, Project Director of the Overseas Business Division; Dr. Man Xingjia, Chief Technology Officer for Energy Management at the Technology Center; Dr. Shao Jie, Chief Technology Officer for Intelligent Platforms; and Fang Hua, Chief Overseas Engineer—recently visited JSW MGI in India for a four‑day in‑depth exchange. The visit aimed to accurately grasp the pulse of the Indian market, deepen technical collaboration, and accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects.
