Recently, Wuling Indonesia officially delivered the first batch of MitraEV new energy logistics vehicles to the Indonesian Post, marking the debut of Wuling's new energy products in the Indonesian logistics sector. The Indonesian Post stated that the introduction of new energy vehicles not only improves operational efficiency but also represents a key step in its partnership with Wuling to fulfill its green commitments and help Indonesia achieve its emission reduction targets.
With Indonesia as its core, SAIC-GM-Wuling is actively promoting its "Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand" integration strategy, gradually expanding to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and the Philippines, creating a positive momentum for coordinated development. Regarding its new energy product portfolio, the Bingo model, launched in Indonesia in December 2023, will enter the Thai and Vietnamese markets in 2024, with a planned launch in Malaysia in December 2025. The Bingo's rapid launch clearly demonstrates the steady progress and effective implementation of the integration strategy.
In addition to product launches, SAIC-GM-Wuling is also continuously deepening its "cross-sea chain transfer" model. In recent years, Wuling Indonesia has leveraged this model to encourage 17 suppliers, including Baosteel and Guoxuan Battery, to expand overseas, fostering over 50 local suppliers and achieving an annual output value of approximately 1 billion yuan. In Thailand, the Bingo model is also locally assembled through a KD plant, driving a comprehensive green localization transformation from products to the supply chain. In Malaysia, the Bingo will also adopt a local assembly model and recently debuted at Kuala Lumpur's Car-Free Day event, supporting the local government's promotion of green city concepts with its zero-emission and low-noise features.
In Vietnam, Wuling is also taking concrete action to promote green mobility. Group vehicles have been delivered to the Haiphong taxi fleet and Ho Chi Minh Airport. Wuling's new energy vehicles are gradually being integrated into Vietnam's public transportation system, providing residents with more environmentally friendly travel options.
By providing new energy products and solutions tailored to local needs, Wuling is meaningfully participating in the green transformation of ASEAN countries. From logistics and distribution to public transportation and private mobility, Wuling's diversified product portfolio is helping ASEAN countries advance green mobility and improve the urban environment, demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of Chinese automakers in participating in global sustainable development.
With the continued deepening of the "India, Malaysia and Thailand" integration strategy and the investment of more new energy vehicle models in the ASEAN market, SAIC-GM-Wuling will continue to strengthen its brand, ecosystem and product matrix to help build a more complete green travel ecosystem, and work hand in hand with ASEAN countries to move towards a greener and more sustainable future.
