The Wuling Yangguang has changed its previous mini-van appearance, featuring a unique modern design and crystal-clear headlights. The front of the car is specially equipped with a newly designed dynamic front bumper and airflow stabilizer, effectively improving stability at high speeds. The interior space of the "Yangguang" has been significantly upgraded in terms of comfort and aesthetics.

On January 31, 2024, Wuling Automobile officially unveiled its brand-new generation of new energy commercial vehicle - Wuling Yangguang. The new vehicle is equipped with the Wuling Red No.1 battery at its debut, and it is Wuling's first new energy commercial vehicle built on a brand-new original new energy platform. On February 19, Wuling's new energy commercial vehicle - Wuling Yangguang officially began pre-sale. On March 11, Wuling Automobile announced the official launch of its brand-new generation of ultra-large space new energy commercial vehicle - Wuling Yangguang.

On May 27, 2024, the passenger car version of Wuling Yangguang officially launched, introducing two versions: a practical 230km version and a comfortable 300km version.

On July 28, 2025, it was reported that the total sales of the Wuling Yanguang family had reached 87,378 units, maintaining the top spot in the new energy light passenger vehicle market for 15 consecutive months.

As the first model of Wuling's new energy commercial vehicles, the Wuling Yanguang is equipped with the "Wuling Red No.1 Battery". The new vehicle is available in two versions with ranges of 230km and 300km, offering a total of three configuration options. It is equipped with a spacious 6.5m³ cargo area and a driver-grade cabin.  

The overall dimensions of the Wuling Yangguang vehicle are 4985*1800*1975mm, with a wheelbase of 3050mm. It features a 270° ultra-large four-six split tailgate paired with side sliding doors. In terms of the cabin, the Wuling Yangguang is equipped with driver and passenger seats with four-way adjustment and eco-friendly pressure-relieving technology fabric seats. Through the cut-out design of the door panels, instrument panel, and other areas, the Wuling Yangguang has a total of seven storage spaces inside the vehicle.

In terms of safety, the entire lineup of Wuling Yangguang comes standard with ABS+EBD and EPS electric power steering system, enhancing vehicle dynamic control and driving safety. Additionally, Wuling Yangguang is built on a high-strength cage-type body, providing comprehensive protection for battery safety. Its frame is made up of 83% high-strength steel, and the roof can withstand a maximum pressure of 6.8 tons. Furthermore, there is a side-impact battery energy absorption zone, utilizing a vertical and horizontal structure to protect the passenger compartment and battery safety. The anti-collision beam is made up of 61% high-strength steel, effectively improving the crumple energy absorption effect.  

Based on Wuling Automobile's in-depth research and development, the Wuling Hong 1 battery utilizes liquid cooling technology, innovatively adopts MUST ultra-thin structural technology, and is equipped with Wendeng ultra-durable battery cell technology. Thanks to multiple innovative battery technologies, the Wuling Yangguang has more efficient energy replenishment, longer battery life, and lower maintenance costs. At room temperature, it takes only 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
