National Honor! SAIC-GM-Wuling Selected as a Model Case for "Chief Quality Officers Strengthening Total Quality Management"

Recently, SAIC-GM-Wuling was selected as a Model Case for "Chief Quality Officers Strengthening Total Quality Management." This award, sponsored by the State Administration for Market Regulation, was announced at the CCTV 2025 "China Quality Life" Gala on September 15th. The selection aims to thoroughly implement the "Outline for Building a Quality Power Nation," summarize and promote companies' experience in advanced quality management methods and innovative practices, and set industry benchmarks for promoting high-quality development.

This selection brings together outstanding achievements from companies across the manufacturing and service sectors nationwide. After multiple rounds of professional review, projects from 19 companies were successfully selected. SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) has become the only company in Guangxi to receive this prestigious award for its "R&D and Industrialization Innovation Practice of Full-Time, Global Intelligent Early Warning and Quality Control Technology for New Energy Vehicle Power Batteries." This honor follows the company's "Digitalization + Quality Risk Control" innovative practice project being selected as a national innovation model at the 6th China Quality Conference. This prestigious award demonstrates the company's quality management expertise and technical strength, further enhancing market recognition of product quality and its brand image.

This project deeply integrates the company's independently developed EOAI large-scale model with its island-style intelligent manufacturing system, achieving closed-loop quality management and intelligent early warning throughout the entire lifecycle, from supply chain, R&D, vehicle manufacturing, to after-sales service. By leveraging AI-driven real-time monitoring of vehicle quality status, fault prediction, and collaborative control, the project significantly improves the safety and reliability of power batteries.

The project embodies the philosophy of "data-driven, efficient collaboration, precise closed-loop, and value creation," breaking away from the traditional "after-the-fact improvement" model and establishing a quality management model characterized by "real-time perception, dynamic early warning, and closed-loop optimization," thus transforming quality control from "passive response" to "proactive prevention."

The project introduces tools such as a risk accumulation and enhanced perception model and expert knowledge base integrated diagnostic technology to establish a comprehensive methodology encompassing "quantitative modeling, data fusion, and intelligent decision-making."

The project establishes a digital system for operational excellence and quality that encompasses all employees, all factors, all processes, and all data. This system breaks down data barriers across R&D, manufacturing, logistics, and after-sales service, building a comprehensive quality data foundation covering three million new energy vehicles. By integrating supply chain data, intelligent production data, warehousing and logistics data, and after-sales user data, it enables rapid closure of quality issues.

This project is not only a significant achievement in SAIC-GM-Wuling's advancement of its "Electrification, Digitalization, and Globalization" strategy and its continued advancement of the "125" project, but also provides the industry with a replicable and scalable intelligent quality management "Wuling Solution," setting a benchmark. Going forward, the company will continue to deepen the application of the Operational Excellence Model (EOAI) in quality management, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China's intelligent manufacturing sector.
