On November 25, 2025, Detikcom, a leading Indonesian media outlet, awarded Wuling Indonesia the title of "Leading Enterprise in Indonesia's Electric Vehicle Industry." This is further proof of Wuling's strength, following its receipt of the "Indonesia's New Energy Vehicle Brand of the Year" award in 2024. It further solidifies Wuling's position as a pioneer in Indonesia's electric vehicle industry and fully affirms Wuling's outstanding contribution to accelerating the popularization of green mobility in Indonesia through localized production.
Detikcom is Indonesia's leading media platform and one of the most influential and popular online news outlets. The 2025 Detikcom Awards are the culmination of Detikcom's annual recognition program, aiming to honor companies and individuals across various sectors who have made outstanding contributions to Indonesia.
Tang Wensheng, General Manager of Wuling Indonesia, said, “We are very grateful to Detikcom for recognizing Wuling Motors. This honor motivates us to continue launching new electric vehicle products that meet the needs of Indonesian customers and are suitable for local production. We believe that the development of electric vehicles must be rooted in tangible contributions to Indonesia and generate a multiplier effect in various fields. This coincides with our philosophy of ‘Made in Indonesia, Born for You’ today.”
Since entering the Indonesian market in 2017, Wuling has been committed to promoting the development of Indonesia's local automotive ecosystem. Through its production base in Cikarang, West Java, Wuling has become one of the most localized electric vehicle manufacturers in Indonesia. Currently, the localization rate of all Wuling's electric vehicle models in Indonesia exceeds 40%, including the Air ev, Binguo EV, Cloud EV, and Darion EV in the passenger vehicle sector, and the Mitra EV in the commercial vehicle sector.
This year, Wuling Indonesia has achieved fruitful results in promoting new energy development and contributing to the "Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand integration" initiative. On May 23, 2025, SAIC-GM-Wuling's 3 millionth new energy vehicle globally and Wuling Indonesia's 40,000th new energy vehicle rolled off the production line at Wuling's Indonesian plant, demonstrating Wuling's firm commitment to deeply integrating into the Southeast Asian market with Indonesia as a strategic foothold. Earlier this month, the new MPV model Darion EV and its PHEV dual-power version were officially launched. As Indonesia's first new energy dual-power MPV, the Darion EV precisely targets the multi-family market, receiving over 1,700 orders within three weeks of its launch, fully demonstrating Wuling Indonesia's product competitiveness and market recognition.
As a core driving force for the development of Indonesia's electric vehicle industry, Wuling will continue to rely on the dual-drive model of "core technology output + localized ecosystem co-construction" to contribute Wuling's strength to the energy transformation of Indonesia and even the world.
